Openings change by classroom

Availability varies by age group and changes through the year. Right now we have limited openings for four and five year olds, and the infant and toddler lists are long.

Joining the waitlist does not guarantee a place. It is how we reach you when one opens, and how we understand what families in Providence need.

WHO WE ARE

Every family wants to know their child will be seen

Families should feel straight away that Beautiful Beginnings respects them as partners, welcomes their culture and their circumstances, and offers a dependable community where children and families both thrive. We are a division of Jammat Housing and Community Development Corporation.

What families ask us most

How does the waitlist work?

You join through the form on our Admissions page. It reaches Cibil Carter, our office manager, who records your child’s age, the start date you want and your schedule. You will get a confirmation straight away. We contact families when a place opens in the right classroom.

Six weeks through five years. Infant care runs to about 21 months, toddler care from 21 months to three years, and preschool from three to five, including our Rhode Island State Pre-K classrooms.

Tuition covers your child’s place, meals and snacks through the Child and Adult Care Food Program, and all classroom materials. Rates are set by age group and by how many days a week your child attends. Current rates are on the Admissions page.

Yes. We accept the Child Care Assistance Program for families who qualify, we offer Early Head Start on site through our partnership with Children’s Friend, and our Rhode Island State Pre-K classrooms are free to families selected in the state lottery.

We are open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm, at 700 Elmwood Avenue. Holiday closures are shared with families in advance and posted on our News and Events page.
